It was 1964 when Barry Higgins commenced his roof tiling apprenticeship under his father John and after ten years of tiling in his father’s business, he was looking after some of Monier’s larger projects.
The forthright business sense that was to be shown by Barry enabled him to incorporate his own family business in 1976. Higgins prides itself in its accessibility, attention to detail and service. Being essentially a family company it offers great access to customers whether they be builders, owner-builders or renovators.
Over the past 40 years, Barry has played an important role in the development of the CSR Roofing Specialist program having been one of the foundation members of the program.
Higgins Roofing has since grown to become one of Melbourne’s largest supply and installation companies operating throughout all suburbs of Melbourne. The business continues to grow under Barry’s son Glenn Higgins and long-term business partner Glenn Sanguinetti.
